Luna Azul

Blue moon,
you saw me standing alone
without a dream in my heart,
without a love of my own.

Luna de terciopelo
que aquilatas la insomnia de mis noches,
que alcanzas de mi melancolía
la fragancia
de un desconsuelo cierto y grave,
oleaje profundo

y me acaba,
una vez sólo en tu luna grave,
una vez cada luna azul,
luna improbable.

And then there suddenly appeared before me
the only one my arms will ever hold,
heard somebody whisper “please adore me”
and when I looked the Moon had turned to gold.

y acorde sincopado.

No existes, amor mío,
azul
y esa evidencia se vuelve desafío y destello
que mi deseo
acoge.

BLUE MOON

Blue moon,
you saw me standing alone,
without a dream in my heart,
without a love of my own.

Velvet moon
you assay the insomnia in my nights,
in my melancholy you affect
the perfume
of a certain grave distress,
deep swell
as from stars, your invisible retinue.

Great azure moon joined to verse,
alien to the minutiae of my state and the shooting fall
of words,
delirious, alone,
anxious in your dual flight you multiply my months
and do away with me,
once only in your sober moon,
once in a blue moon,
off-chance moon.

And then there suddenly appeared before me
the only one my arms will ever hold,
heard somebody whisper “please adore me”
and when I looked the Moon had turned to gold.

And then a faint echo yielded
between one pace and another, flight conjoined,
possible contact
with an irreal direction
for your course,
a naked vigilance under the full, pregnant, blue
moon,
thief of children, potion of lovers.

But I learned that vigilance was excess and orchestra,
notes trailing from the brass that envelops your jazz voice in
syncopated chords.

You don’t exist, my beloved,
maybe the way does not exist
for me to join the false flight of this blue
moon,
that proof turns to defiance and show,
which my desire
accepts.

BUSCANDO EQUILIBRIO

…c'est la vérité qui cache qu'il n'y en a pas.
Jean Baudrillard

y afines.

Y mientras
multiplico circuitos y algoritmos eléctricos que me expanden
y achican,
me vuelven puntual, mecánica,
referencia infalible. Nada
soy.

Y me quedo flotando, buscando equilibrio,

IN SEARCH OF EQUILIBRIUM

. . . c’est la vérité qui cache qu’il n’y en a pas.
Jean Baudrillard

Seeking equilibrium, the primary idea.
Oscillating between self
and reflection.
Investigating, weightless and obstinate in my spacesuit,
into the possible heart of the theorem,
possible slant
from this illusory cartography that names and programs us.

Pointless and alone
I investigate, nomad afloat, deciphering the origin,
my utopic existence as a self
in effigies and nodes, in networks that spit me out and loop to fictitious similar
selves.

Meanwhile
I multiply circuits and wired algorithms, they swell and diminish me,
return a punctual me, a mechanical me,
obedient, servile to a system I ingest and propound
from my exposed body,
unerring reference. The nothingness
I am.

And I go on floating, seeking equilibrium,
the primary inflection,
origin and norm of my dim restlessness and disturbed viscera.

The real does not exist,
just an essence of perpetual calibration
without design, or will.
LUNA OSCURA

y certezas.
DARK MOON

It’s a new moon and the blood halts,
remains perpetual in shadow, walking inwards,
its absence opening
my knowledge inside.

Now I move with you toward death.
I show you the path.
See the fulness of waves, I translate them into signs,
my hidden blood names and works these signs,
oracle and prophet, poet,
woman.

My body slows in silence to sound out
walls,
branches clamped against winter’s weight,
dew with its orderly insinuation of autumn,
the world perspiring,

its tenuous
function
of existence.

Now I move forward in silence, mirror,
messenger,
I take over the devotional and gesture toward it,
admitting the great expanse that waits, final unto itself,
inside this dark moon
pregnant with visions
and assurance.
