During our passionate kiss, my restless limbs were leaning over each of her parts. Suddenly, I felt a burning pleasure in my lower lip; my temperature rose, focusing on that bruised area; consequently, my mucosa released a salty, dense substance that would quickly run at will through my gums, teeth, and my entire tongue. At that moment, I noticed her pleasant, strong tongue, like that of a snake, which lingered incessantly on the wound, causing a profuse irrigation. Then, at intervals, her thirsty mouth sucked up the warm excess of saliva and blood, letting out resounding gasps. I must confess that the terrible burning after the bite, impossible to hide, made me shed some tears, but the mere thought of lying together forced me to endure the piercing pain.

Once the faint morning exhale violated the sordid interior of the tavern, her moist, soft lips separated from mine, and to my surprise, I could observe her ecstatic face with her gaze completely blank; I also looked through its jaws at prominent columns inked with a glowing red color, so in fright, I violently moved away a short distance from it. Her totally transformed face, recovering its sweet, lost naturalness, half-opened her small, pale pink mouth and promptly stuck out her insatiable tongue to lick the withered, drooling corners. Then, without a word, she gave me a piercing glance with cold, turquoise-green eyes; her irises turned a dull red. She tenderly placed her index and middle fingers on my wounded lips, making me experience an icy shudder, and preventing me from uttering a word. She placed her choker with its beautiful silver cross of the Order of Santiago in my hands. That same necklace that timidly swayed and fearfully took refuge from the crowd between her admirable breasts of bluish whiteness. Then that redheaded creature, graceful and bewitching, turned her bare back to me and left majestically. I chased her with my eyes as she was absorbed through the narrow corridor until I saw her leave the bar. There, devoid of her, that Dionysian, nocturnal, and sinister being left me, and I never heard from her again.

After that fatal incident exposed to you, dear confidant, my slow days were overwhelmed by the remembrance of Lilith. Before the end of the month, I fell ill with a deterioration of the mind accompanied by various symptoms: intense fatigue, fever, convulsions, and anguished nightmares of hair-covered raptors. I didn’t want to eat any food or even drink liquids, but the strangest of the symptoms was that when my skin came into contact with sunlight, I was imminently invaded by lacerating sores. The only thing capable of giving me rest during my convalescence in those moments of disorder in which I was confined was exclusively the intricate chords of Massenet played with sublime power by Anne-Sophie Mutter on her violin.

My elderly mother, concerned about my delicate health, hired Paloma Toscana, a charming young nursing student, to look after me permanently. I don’t know how many days I spent with the aforementioned discomfort. Still, I would soon discover at night my best refuge, and along with that unusual revelation, the intense internal anxiety towards the carmine force of life. It was during a cool spring night, in which she enjoyed the tender attention of the nurse, that, as a result of an inappropriate handling of the scalpel, the sharp metal blade opened the palm of her left hand, seeking a thin bloodstream of a striking ruby hue. At that moment, without previous conciliation of my senses and excited by the inspiring stimulus of the aroma of her estrus, I found an impetuous impulse. I threw myself into her injury to absorb the vital liquid, surrendering myself completely to the will of pleasure.

I still remember her irascible complaints pronounced with cuteness:

“Wait…, wait. What are you doing? Are you crazy? Don’t you know that you bleed more from your incision than you should?”

Deaf to her protests at peculiar delight, her impulse was to remove her hand brutally from my mouth, and with her eyes lowered as if doubting my reputation, she resolutely left the bedroom. I ignored her answer and, immediately afterward, was enveloped by a deep stupor, threw myself into bed, and slept with the tranquility of an infant. The next day, inexplicably to me and to the naïve nurse, my ills were gone. At that time, given my sudden recovery, my mother installed the jovial Toscana at home to continue with her medical training in exchange for her care. As for me, I eagerly resumed my academic activities, but after a few weeks, similar signs of evil returned. On that occasion, on a particular evening of brief but disturbing reveries, I saw sequences of confusing images of sarcophagi exhumed by inhabitants of ancient towns opening the chests of the deceased with crosses similar to the one Lilith gave me. I woke up restless and in a cold sweat, and, unconsciously, I took the shining cross I had dreamed of and sat up from the pillow as if I had to go somewhere, and so it was. Without knowing it, I started a mechanical march and stealthily went to the room of the tender Paloma, to which the closer I got, the more I could hear the agitation of my breathing. As she crossed the threshold of her room, there she lay in a sweet, harmless sleep, dressed in a silk so fine that it did not conceal the charming figure of her body. I knelt beside her so close to place the choker, a symbol of initiation, and it was in such a way that I could feel her warmth. At that moment, totally pleased to be able to nibble on her velvety, long, slender neck, I pushed aside her silky hair, and she gave in, bowing her head submissively after a sigh. Her heart was pounding rapidly, making her jugular vein pulse. Troubled, more voluptuously than I should have, my hands caressed her beautiful forms, and with a start, obeying the instinct of desire, I profaned her spirit. When we confronted her, we both moaned as I penetrated her gently. Shortly after, I sucked, with gradual concupiscence and delicacy, a pure flow overflowing with vigor, to obtain what was necessary and survive; thus leaving a clear indication of two bloody dimples in the throat and a few droplets staining the sapwood of the nightgown as evidence of that joyful satiety.
